on brain tan buckskin, bark tan leather, fur on pelt tanning, or traditional buffalo robe tanning. All methods are completely natural and use no chemicals that couldn’t be harvested primitively. Unlike modern commercial leather whose process has toxic waste products, natural hide tanning is clean and safe in every step. Using every part of the animal is a way to give the highest respect to that animal. Even if you are a vegetarian or vegan, the process of hide tanning can be very rewarding and help lead you towards a deeper connection with the animal people.
